The Word program writes, saves and effectively organizes summaries, books, comments and decisions; the program also enables precise sketches as required for learning Iruvin, Sukkah, etc. The program easily arranges material in tables, prepares alphabetical lists, adds comments in the margins of the page or at the end of the document, can emphasize and bold, create table of contents for any document in seconds and add an index for required values. But learning this program takes a lot of learning time for the Yeshiva student, and correcting mistakes made due to lack of experience and guidance takes up too much time and for a community which does not speak English - this task is even more difficult. Taking advantage of short-cuts, macro commands, advanced styles and templates - can save many hours (for example - final design of a specific book was estimated to take two weeks of work, but in fact, for those expert in the field, took only two hours). In order to make best use of the program without wasting many hours of trial and error, and correcting or losing text - a special learning booklet has been prepared for the use of Yeshiva students explaining proper use of the program starting with the keyboard, mouse, what is a font, margins, how to highlight, save and spellcheck, how to prepare macro commands and short-cuts, etc. In addition learn how to use templates, graphics, headers and footers, pagination and comments. The booklet also explains how to create headlines at the side of text, changing headlines every page or chapter, how to center the last line, how to make a window at the beginning of the second line, how to punctuate - all commands which are not familiar to the regular user. In addition, advice is given as to which is the preferred font, how to influence the default specifications of the program, how to maintain the computer, how to free the screen of things which are superfluous, how to add useful applications, etc. The booklet includes brief guidance on Excel and Power Point. The booklet is distributed in a printed form (binded and therefore can be read where it is forbidden to learn), or on CD (most updated with specific information on Word 2007 including color and many pictures of the screen in various styles, changing headlines and writing on the side of the text); the CD also includes many useful files which can be received over the fax - macro commands, Excel and "Accounting for the Yeshiva student" which help follow the Gmara pages learned, income and expenses, follow up on debts, and slideshows on iruvin, masarot, mikvaot, etc). The booklet costs only NIS 40 ( including delivery costs), and the price of the CD only NIS 30 (additional NIS 1.5 for delivery). The cost of the booklet and the CD together is NIS 50 (NIS 3.90 for delivery). For purchase and details please call: 04-9847719 during the evening hours. The booklet can also be purchased the "Reshet Machshevim" stores: Tel 1599-525552
