Bezeq is launching a a new service today at 144 - SMS. The new service allows you to search phone numbers of businesses and individuals by sending an SMS message to 144. The SMS which is intended primarily for cellular phones, complements 144 and B144 which was launched recently. Bezeq is the only company offering the search of phone numbers of individuals by sending a text message, as well as searching for businesses.
The 144 - SMS service is available to all mobile phone uers and includes phone numbers of Bezeq, Hot, Globecol, 012, Pelephone and Cellcom. The cost of the service is NIS 1.50. The service was created by Teleclal using artificial intelligence technology so that the service is able to identify the purpose of the question and use the right search option. The service is very simple and easy to use. A customer who wishes to find a phone number has to write the name of the business and the area requested, or the name of a person and the area and send a text message to the number 144. After a short time a text message will be received with the number requested. You can then click directly on the key - SEND and the number will be dialled.
The search can be performed by classification (search category), for example: laundry in Netanya, flower shop in Kfar Saba, or finding phone numbers of individuals, for example: Israel Israeli from Nes Ziona. If the number was not found, or additional information is required, the search has to be refined. The system will respond with a question in order to complete the necessary details needed.
In June 2008 Bezeq launched the B144 service for searching business phone numbers under the slogan: "All the businesses, all the people". At the same time Bezeq also announced its intention to launch the search service through cellular phones. The 144 - SMS service is just one more of the many services provided by 144 (voice hotline, website, SMS) and is aimed to service customers who wish to receive information via an SMS message on entries of the 144 database. Bezeq intends to add more search options in the future.
Launching of the new product is accompanied with a campaign with the slogan, "Do not search, text! 144, now on SMS". The goal of the campaign is to create a new idiom for searching via SMS, which combines the words "Search" and "Text". The Adler-Chomsky-Varshevky advertising agency is responsible for the campaign, and ads will appear on the internet, signs on buses and train stations and radio. The campaign will run for two weeks.
